Altit Fort is an ancient fort above Karimabad in the Hunza valley in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. It was originally home to the hereditary rulers of the Hunza state who carried the title Mir, although they moved to the somewhat younger Baltit fort nearby three centuries later. Altit Fort and in particular the Shikari tower is around 900 years old, which makes it the oldest monument in the Gilgit–Baltistan.

Rajaki‬  tongue emoticon
Rajaki !brushaski word meaning any kind work done by villagers or group of village people done it free of cost for betterment of village or for themselves .There are many kinds of works done by village people we called it in local dialect Rajaki (Team Work done voluntarily for betterment) such as digging village main canal, repairing village water tank or road bringing stone slabs of graves and illnay Rajaki etc. Now we discuss little bit about illay rajaki ill mean (A place from where water is divide equally for all other villages using wooden window like frame just like ladder lay horizontally on ground making equal square frame also leveled l it with zero error as shown in picture below .According to villages three or four from where water is flow and divide in to different canals >.Canals and navigation are human-made channels for water. When and why water is divided? Shortly this system is always done by our ancestors nowadays we are doing this in month of February. Water is divided by using wooden frame which is construct on the main canal from their water is divide which is discuss above . This is done by villagers when people started watering first time to their fields for cultivation every year. In this month water is not enough for all villages due to lack of water by cold weather which hamper glaciers to melt fast enough to fulfill people requirement. When weather is change and become warm in month of March then water is much more for all villages than people put aside wooden frame and water flow randomly.
